Featuring fudgy chunks of brownie goodness blended into rich dark chocolate ice cream, Ben & Jerry's Chocolate Fudge Brownie ice cream pint is truly a dream come true. But the journey to creating this legendary flavor was anything but smooth.

In the past, when we were making brownie ice cream sandwiches for sale in grocery stores, we discovered broken brownie pieces in the delivery. Instead of letting them go to waste, we decided to experiment by incorporating them into chocolate ice cream. Surprisingly, the combination tasted amazing! And thus, the original experimental flavor eventually transformed into the beloved Chocolate Fudge Brownie ice cream.

During this time, Ben Cohen crossed paths with Bernie Glassman, the founder of Greyston Bakery in Yonkers, New York. Not only did Greyston have a noble mission to alleviate poverty and support the community, but their brownies were also exceptionally delicious. After Ben sampled their brownies, he immediately requested truckloads of brownie pieces for our ice cream.

Although we knew Greyston Bakery would be the perfect supplier for our ice cream, getting the brownies to cooperate was a challenge. After numerous batches and months of hard work, we finally launched the Chocolate Fudge Brownie flavor in 1991, and it has been a fan favorite ever since.

All Ben & Jerry's ice cream pints are crafted using non-GMO ingredients and cage-free eggs. The cocoa, sugar, and vanilla in the Chocolate Fudge Brownie ice cream pint are Fairtrade certified, and our products are Kosher. Additionally, we prioritize responsibly sourced packaging.
